Guided Industrial Training (GIT) Program
A Revolutionary Approach to Internship
Overview
Located in Cyberjaya, heart of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia, ICmic-UniKL Academy through its ICdidik LAB provides Guided Industrial Training (GIT) Program, an internship program specializing in microelectronic design for university undergraduate students. This program is mainly based on hands-on product development training.
Program Structure
There are three modules of the internship program. The internees shall be awarded a certificate after the completion of each module – Module A, B and C.
- Module A: Digital IC Design – Level 1 Total Duration: 12 weeks; Sub-Module 4 weeks each
| A.1: |
Semiconductor Fabrication Process and Device Characterization for CMOS technology using Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) tools.
|
| A.2: |
Simulation of Digital logic block design, layout design and verification of logic blocks using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.
|
| A.3: |
Design, layout and verification of a discrete Digital Logic Integrated Circuit (IC) product. |
- Module B: Analog IC Design – Level 2 Total Duration: 12 weeks; Sub-Module 4 weeks each
| B.1: |
Design of fundamental building blocks for Analog ICs using CMOS design technology.
|
| B.2: |
Design and layout of Analog IC in sub-micron CMOS technology.
|
| B.3: |
Product scoping, design, layout and verification of a discrete Analog IC Product. |
- Module C: Mixed-Signal IC Product Design – Level 3 Total Duration: 8 Weeks; Sub-Module 4 Weeks each
| C.1: |
Design of Mixed-Signal circuits with Analog and Digital components on the same substrate.
|
| C.2: |
Product scoping, design, layout and verification of a Mixed-Signal IC Product using Mixed-Signal CMOS design technology.
