Master of Engineering 
(in collaboration with reputable local universities)

Overview

Located in Cyberjaya, heart of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia, ICmic-UniKL Academy provides Master of Engineering program specializing in microelectronic design in collaboration with reputable local universities. This program is mainly based on hands-on product development.

Program Content

The major content of this Master Program is product development and research (PD&R). There are two major options for this program and each Apprentice would be assigned one of these options. These options are;

• IC Design
• Application Design

PD&R is divided into 2 levels:

• Anchor Project
  • This is the major project that each Apprentice is assigned on joining the ICmic-UniKL Academy. This Project will last the entire duration (18 Months) of the Masters program. Each Apprentice is expected to complete part of work on product development for IC or Application Product as the Anchor Project.
• Competency Development Project
  • Each Apprentice is also required to complete a series of Competency Development Projects within the duration of the program. These Projects provide the Apprentices exposure to different stages in product development cycle and provide hands-on experience of a wide range of product development skills.

Program Duration

The typical duration of this program is 18-Months.

Master Award

Apprentices who successfully complete all the requirements for this program will be awarded Master of Engineering in collaboration with reputable local universities.

Program Prerequisites

Candidates must have a first degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or related fields. Preference will be given to those candidates with good results and/or candidates who demonstrate innovative or creative abilities. Entrance test and interview will be conducted before admission is offered.
