The Official Launching of ICreka Sdn Bhd by Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MECD).

ICmic UniKL Academy Sdn Bhd has announced the launching of its first spin-off company, ICREKA SDN. BHD. in Putrajaya on 11 March 2007. The launching ceremony was officiated by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Musa bin Mohamad, Secretary General, Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MeCD).

ICreka is a spinoff from technology developed in ICmic-UniKL Academy. The Academy is a setup by IC Microsystems Sdn Bhd (ICmic), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) with the objective of focusing on microelectronics competency development for Malaysians particularly in the area of Integrated Circuit (IC) and system application design.

This initiative is a significant milestone for the Academy and the country as Malaysia strives to create and enhance technopreneurs that are able to compete at the global level.

During the event, Appreciation Awards were given to Bahagian Pembangunan Usahawan MARA, Bahagian Penganjuran Pelajaran MARA and Telekom Malaysia Berhad for their strategic contribution and support towards the technopreneurship development of Academy and its holding company, ICmic. On hand to receive the Awards were Y. Bhg Datuk Nam Marthinin, the Director General of MARA and Tuan Haji Gazali Harun, the Chief Procurement Officer, TM.

In the same event also witnessed the launching of another spin-off company; ICcipta Sdn Bhd, which is the subsidiary of IC Microsystems Sdn Bhd (ICmic).

About ICreka Sdn Bhd 

ICREKA SDN BHD is the subsidiary of ICmic-UniKL Academy, based in Cyberjaya. This company is established as an IC design company, with focus on product development in linear IC products, which have wide applications in computers, consumer, industrial automation and instrumentation markets.
