Research and development in integrated circuits (ICs) has achieved much significance due to the impact of this industry on technology value chain in a country.

The prospect of design and development of semiconductor products for real industries is obviously very promising for ambitious and creative people.

Therefore, the Academy, through its ICdidik LAB, is strategically placed to respond to the future demand in microelectronic industries, with the Apprentice involvement in real circuit implementation and testing.

The Academy is providing many programs for students and professionals interested in furthering their expertise in microelectronic design. The programs mainly comprise of hands-on product development and competency development for IC or system design. The projects are supervised by highly experienced professionals from the semiconductor industry. A summary of the programs offered is given below.

 

Postgraduate Program

ICdidik LAB provides Master of Engineering course in collaboration with reputable universities. There are two options for product development and research:

• IC Design
• Application Design

On-job Training Program

ICdidik LAB conducts shorter duration courses for competency development in key skills for microelectronic industry. The programs are available for Analog IC Design/Layout, Layout Design and IC Test Development.

Internship program usually lead to being assigned a Project topic to continue as a Final Year Project for selected students.
