PARTNERSHIPS & AFFILIATIONS ICmic-UniKL Academy [Academy] has been set up as a technology and skill development based company, in order to create manpower and technologies for microelectronic businesses and spinoffs. With the niche on integrated circuit [IC] and application design technology, partnership and collaboration with the industry’s main players and related institutions contribute significant impact to Academy, towards achieving the status as a centre of excellence in design technology and competency development.

MAJLIS AMANAH RAKYAT [MARA] From the MOU with MARA on 16th July 2007, MARA was recognized Academy as the Research and Development [R&D] centre as part of the fulfillment towards conferring of the Masters in Engineering by Malaysian Universities and provides financial assistance to the qualified candidates for Master program. To support the efforts in enhancing and elevating the country’s advance microelectronic skills sets, MARA may send their sponsored students to the Academy, who fulfills the university entrance requirement to pursue their research program which fully conducted in Academy.
Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) is a statutory body; governed by Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development [MDeC]. This organization involved in various sectors including social, commercial, education, training, capital financing, agricultural and other areas.
UNIVERSITI KUALA LUMPUR [UniKL] As a premier technical institution in Malaysia, UniKL contributes its vast experience in academic engineering set-up at various levels and world standard technical education; to produce microelectronic specialist for global industry. For Master of Engineering based apprenticeship program in Academy, UniKL will award the successful Apprentices with Master of Engineering in Technology, upon the completion of 18-month apprenticeship and project research in Academy. With the key focus on research and development activities, Academy has been formed as a fabless IC design and system design company. By adopting a fabless business strategy, Academy is partnering with Silterra for IC fabrication plan and in the mean time, provides places for internship/ industrial training to the selected Apprentices from Academy.
SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is a leading semiconductor wafer foundry that provides advanced foundry standard CMOS logic, high-voltage and mixed-signal/RF technologies.
