ICdidik LAB

Overview

ICdidik LAB is a technology development setup specializing in microelectronics technology. It designs, develops and commercializes high tech products in various segments of microelectronics industry. It conducts research and product development in different areas of semiconductor technology including IC Design and Semiconductor Process and Device Design/Characterization. ICdidik LAB works on commercial based technologies to meet the need of the semiconductor and electronic industry. It is also working on the competency development of motivated people with relevant background through various programs.

Offered Programs

Currently the LAB provides the following programs for competency development in microelectronics:

• Master of Engineering (in collaboration with reputable local universities)
• On-job Training in IC Design
• Guided Industrial Training (GIT)

The programs mainly comprise of hands-on product development and competency development for IC or system design. The projects are supervised by highly experienced professionals from the semiconductor industry.

Commercialization

ICdidik works on commercialization of technologies through various channels including direct sales, technology partnerships and spinoffs. Thus the Apprentices have an opportunity to get exposed to the commercial aspects of the technology development. Spinoffs provide opportunities for some of the Apprentices to join these high technology startups and become pioneers in such organizations.

ICdidik LAB has already successfully spun off its first company called ICreka Sdn. Bhd. which specializes in linear ICs.
